As a small child I received the Lord Jesus by the guidance of my parents. I was young, but I received and experienced something very real. After a few enjoyable years my parents stopped meeting with the local church. Soon after, the peace and harmony I had experienced ceased to exist, and they were replaced by chaos. They eventually divorced.
After fourteen years, I was nineteen and from a lack of proper supervision I had turned away from the Lord and was almost without hope. Looking back, my fondest childhood memories were from the time spent in the local church. I then had a feeling to go to a local church meeting. When I arrived, I felt at home again--the same smiling faces were still there! What a comforting feeling! My life turned around 360 degrees. I had hope again. With the support of the positive environment there I was encouraged to complete my high school degree and continue on to college. Surely I owe my life to God and to my dear friends in the local church.
